Spicy Seaweed Chutney

The main ingredient is seaweed that is sustainably hand harvested from the beautifully clean waters that surround the Isle of Mull.
Per jar there is approximately 30g of seaweed. The seaweed we use is kelp, that we carefully clean to remove any crustacea there may be, and then add to the tomatoes, onions, garlic, white wine vinegar, sugar and spices and cook until the chutney comes to the correct consistency.
The seaweed gives the chutney a very delicate flavour of the sea with a little bit of spice added. It compliments a wide range of foods, from traditional cheese and biscuits to curries and also works well when being added to marinades for both meat and fish.
