Pepper & Pear Relish
GLUTEN FREE VERSION - MADE WITH APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Although Coeliac UK's advice is that malt vinegar is acceptable in a coeliac diet, I've made this popular relish with apple cider vinegar rather than the usual white malt vinegar for those of you who can't tolerate anything barley related.
Sweet spread with chilli (Heat rating 3/5)
Slightly savoury with a hint of heat. Lovely with pâté and other savouries, or on its own on toast. Great with a cheeseboard.

Sugar, Green peppers (42٪), Pears (34٪), Apple Cider Vinegar (contains sulphites), Green chillies (7٪), Ginger.
Made with 86g of fruit/veg per 100g
Total sugar content 47g per 100g

As with most preserves, once opened these will keep in the fridge for up to 6 weeks, or unopened until the best before date (usually about a year from purchase).
