Hot onion chutney (Heat rating 5+/5)
The current limited edition is super-hot!
Based on Smokin' Hot Red Onion Chutney, it has the same punch from lots of birdseye chillies and over double the Scotch Bonnets for a solid chilli kick!
There's lots of flavour too, with plenty of paprika, tasty herbs and a wee touch of dark chocolate.
Ooft! It's hot, it's tasty and it has a certain depth from the just-discernable rich Belgian chocolate.
Think hearty bowl of chilli non-carne, think Mexican mole sauce, think as much heat as you can take and use it in sandwiches, add to marinades, slather on main dishes and use as a fiery dip with nachos!

As with most preserves, once opened these will keep in the fridge for up to 6 weeks, or unopened until the best before date (usually about a year from purchase).
From time to time, small one-off batches are made to taste-test a new flavour combination or to reduce food waste by using fresh produce that would otherwise leave the food chain. They won't be made again.
...but popular ones can become regular varieties (like Caramelised Red Onion did) or Seasonal Editions (like Spiced Plum did).
